AVIXIN -M 2% liquid

Composition:Each 1 ml contains:
Bromhexine HCL 20 mg.
Bromhexine hydrochloride the active ingredient of AVIXIN M2% is a mucolytic agent which aims to make bronchial secretions easier to propel by ciliary action to expel by coughing and in this way reduce cough frequency.
AVIXIN M2% is also of value in achieving liquefaction and improved flow characteristics of mucus by increasing its volume and decreasing its viscidity. It is suggested that AVIXIN M2% (Bromhexine) improves lysosomal function and that lysosomal enzymes hydrolyse the mucopolysaccharide fibers of mucus. Bromhixine brings about an increase in the content of immunoglobulin in bronchial secretions, presumably by increasing membrane permeability.
AVIXIN M2% is indicated for the treatment of conditions of respiratory tract associated with retention of mucoid secretion such as bronchitis. It is also used as ancillary therapy in the management of bronchopenumonia in poultry, horses and cattle, as well as for the treatment of amniotic fluid aspiration in newborn animals.
